Such difficulties are more frequent because of children sedentariness. This study had the objective to gather information regarding the visual motor and fine motor developments, as well as the development of written language. A bibliographic research was made utilizing the deductive method through the technique of indirect documentation. The discoveries of this study pointed that the difficulties in acquiring written language are directly related to the children’s lack of psychomotor activities nowadays. Resumo A morte tem diferentes significados e impactos sobre uma pessoa em diferentes períodos da vida. As crianças vão tomando consciência deste fato gradualmente, conforme vão se desenvolvendo cognitivamente e emocionalmente. Nessa perspectiva, torna-se necessário conhecer os estudos sobre as teorias psicológicas para entender as concepções sobre o referido tema. Além disso, é importante destacar que a exposição precoce em situações de hospitalização pode influenciar a maneira como o conceito de morte é elaborado na infância, visto que o convívio com a própria doença possibilita um entendimento prematuro sobre o assunto em questão.
